This morning the team and I woke up to our website, http://threadheads.com, being completely offline.

We received some vague, automated trademark infringement notice from Shopify, with no trademark owner or trademarks mentioned in the notice. In 7 days they’re saying they will close our account permanently.

The fallout from this situation for our business will be devastating. We were on track to do $25m this year – now our revenue will be reduced to $0. Even if we replatform, all of our SEO rankings will drop, internally built software will no longer work, apps we've put our heart and soul into like Klaviyo will lose all their progress, and much more. We will essentially have to start from scratch.

I've been a huge fan of Shopify since the beginning and am absolutely shocked they would do this to us without any notice. We started Threadheads in 2018 in a small retail shop with big dreams. We make amazing products in-house and have a loyal customer base that love what we do.

If you think anyone in the community can help us, or has contacts at Shopify Legal, please share this – it would mean everything to our little team in Melbourne ❤️

Mistakes happen. Not coming down hard on #Shopify here but this scare probably could have been prevented if this $25m a year business maybe didn't put all their eggs in one basket. #OwnYourOwnContent

Imagine doing that much $$$ and you could be seemingly wiped out in 7 days with no recourse.
