– That being said, #Mastodon just isn't ready for the "pre-masses" (to be fair Twitter isn't hugely popular by the numbers either).
I'm a M user and i've said from early on – and still believe – M's onboarding is still not simple, and like it or not simple wins the day. Things like "Moving" accounts is a bad experience (I personally can tell you this and i'm a person in tech).
No doubt the people that could get onto a server couldn't find enough others to join or hit into M's own cons.
