Some might be resistant to follow a lot on #Mastodon but (just speaking for myself) (1) so many new ones joining & following me, i don't see any posts to determine a good enough match (2) it's not easy to see those WITH posts – in my web UI – without going over to their server (& copying the link if i want to join etc).
I think there is resistance but I think most of is natural. Give people time and better tools. Lists and boosts work. Take a chance when odds are good.
