  • RT @wordcampmiami: It’s a sparkly new year. Looking to share your expertise more widely? Apply to speak at #WCMIA. 2019.miami.wordcamp.org/2018/12/11/cal……

  • Armchair WordCampers: Nothing on the radar for the last weekend of 2018… but maybe consider applying to speak at @wordcampmiami: 2019.miami.wordcamp.org/2018/12/11/cal… #wcmia

  • Been having Slack for #wcmia for 5+ years now. Seems like forever – now the latest is the permanent home (no more per year Slacks). twitter.com/wordcampmiami/…

  • RT @wordcampmiami: Thinking about coming to #wcmia in March? Join our new Slack channel before you go on holidays so you don’t miss any new…

  • RT @wordcampmiami: If you haven’t yet, join the new (and permanent) #wcmia Slack channel. We are going to be sliding some information there…

  • RT @wordcampmiami: Want something to brighten your weekend (and maybe holiday) even more? #wcmia

  • Thinking lately on how I am (or allowing myself to be) branded. I’m usually FIRST known to be associated w/ #wcmia, Happiness Bars, live tweeting, community stuff… which is all good. But wondering if it’s hurting my day (paid) job. Coding is what feeds the family after all.

  • @williamsba I’m seriously trying to figure out where to put the many photos of #wcmia that have been pushed to Flickr over the years. Any export tools or recommendation to move? I imagine a few long-time organizers in the same boat.

  • RT @wordcampmiami: We REALLY love it when people wear #WCMIA shirts to other WordCamps! #WCUS

  • @AmethystAnswers @wmjackson I know how that feels – flying into a large event solo. Maybe next time there can be a potential list. I want to talk about this as well with @wordcampmiami. #WCMIA

  • Now that @WordCampUS is over: Me & #WCMIA team get asked alot (including past weekend) if Miami applies for #WCUS. We haven’t because we aren’t USA centrally located (among other reasons). But assuming “near end of year” dates, does a sunny/warm Florida destination appeal?

  • @williamsba @jeffr0 I feel like next time you come to #WCMIA we will need a separate attendance ticket for your voice.

  • As a post-WordCamp “hangover” tradition I give thanks to @WordCampOrlando. Another solid event this weekend… and for allowing my daughter the first time experience of being a speaker. She said she loved #wcorl so much I almost disowned her to remind her of #wcmia.

  • Very nice: fellow #wcmia alum & Florida friend @TheKinneyFirm is on the @bobWP podcast. If privacy is important (and it should be) take a listen: bobwp.com/wordpress-ecom…

  • @ProfessaDiva954 this is very cool. any feedback from the kid’s #wcmia email i sent last month? need to start a list of people we can reach out to. again, very cool. so happy!

  • @wptavern thank you for the mention of @todrickmoore in the latest podcast. #wcmia

  • For those #wcmia and Florida community folks that might have missed the news. twitter.com/dimensionmedia…

  • With deep sadness that I share the news @todrickmoore, a fellow developer, @wordcampmiami organizer and volunteer has passed away. He will be dearly missed by the #WordPress and #wcmia community. davidbisset.com/todrick-moore/

  • @royboy789 @schoeyfield some camps and events have great success making certain days (sometimes Friday or Sunday) contributor days too. Sundays are good #wcmia days but sometimes i wish we would end on a less hectic note. We are dead tired by then! ;-p

  • @schoeyfield @royboy789 i haven’t heard much negative feedback at #wcmia about crowd sizes on Sundays. Our focus is primarily providing talks that help the community, and I think most speakers go with that vs. how big of a crowd they speak to. My limited $0.02 though.

  • @schoeyfield @royboy789 I don’t speak for everyone, but IMO for #wcmia we expect a lower turnout on Sundays. Often it’s just the way people’s schedules are. We’ve had good success scheduling certain things (including JS track, which we view as a mini-conference) for those times.

  • Note to self: custom #WordPress developer cookies at next #wcmia or bring some to @WordCampUS.

  • @bamadesigner @hlashbrooke @lmelegari I accept Hugh’s response… context yes, but unclear guidelines / communication plays part i think. On flip side, we’ll never know all the facts and rumors are just rumors so just basing on how it looked to me. But hey, putting ads on ballroom stalls at #wcmia in 2019!

  • @CalEvans @Rarst @wordcampmiami Bingo. But unless you are an organizer and handle speaker submissions, you are likely the one of the few that get it. But I only help run #wcmia and that’s all I’ll speak for. 🙂

  • @Rarst @CalEvans @wordcampmiami I don’t much agree as a whole with this either as a #wcmia organizer, since you would run out of talks in theory with hundreds of camps each year.

  • RT @wordcampmiami: Calling all organizers and volunteers: WordCamp Miami 2019 needs you! Signup to help out for our 11th event. #wcmia htt…

  • So @wordcampmiami is in need of organizers and volunteers for 2019! 11th straight event here we come! Please sign up if you can help out. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI… #wcmia

  • Heading down to my local WordPress meetup tonight. Over 100 RSVPs, so should have a decent crowd tonight. September is also the month we start talking about #wcmia. 😄 👧🏻🍕👨🏿👦🏽🍺💻🧀🍞🙋

  • @strebel whatever fits your schedule. #wcmia would be honored to have you anytime. 💕

  • Favor: Take 60 seconds and let a #wcmia friend know which t-shirts you would wear in this survey. There are some nice designs here. twitter.com/madeinthemia/s…
