As one who dipped their toes into #Mastodon in 2018 and got "into the pool" more in Oct I seem to see an increase in endless arguments and claims just difference of opinion as "hostile" (correct and not).
Longer time M users telling newer people to effectively "get off their lawn".
Same happens in #opensource. 😆
A social network is only as good as it's members. No tech will change that. No network will ever be able to cater to everyone.
